-
All rounds utilize "2021
Final Regular Season Standings" to determine tournament
seeding
-
Normal OTHG Rules apply for "Standings/Seedings"
and tournament play, in addition to and modified by those listed
below
-
Six rounds to the tournament w/ "Single Elimination"
first round and "Double Elimination" for rounds two through
six. (2016 change)
-
Top 4 Seeded Teams get "Round
1 Bye" and start in Round 2 of the Reilly Cup
-
No more than 4 games per round and up to 19
games played for the whole Reilly Cup
-
Teams can play from 4 games (best path through
brackets) to 8 games (worst path through brackets) and still
win Reilly Cup
-
Two rounds exist where a team will
play two games in one evening
(Round 5 and possibly Round 6 Finals)
-
Higher Seeded
team is the home team for each game throughout the tournament,
whether coming from Winners' Bracket or Losers' Bracket.
-
For Finals Only:
As per Sep 8th, 2009 Manager's Meeting, teams voted unanimously
that the team that enters the Finals "from the Winner's
Bracket" is the home team for the FIRST game,
regardless of their seed
ranking. If a second game is necessary, then the higher
seeded team is the home team for that game.
-
The Reilly Cup requires five Fridays and one
Tuesday. A round must complete
for the next round to occur (because of high/low seed match
ups)
-
New for 2019:
Round 2 (instead of Round 5), is scheduled for a Tuesday.
This will alleviate a losers' bracket team from playing
up to 5 games within the last Fri to Fri week of the season.
All other rounds are scheduled for Fridays. WEATHER can
affect this schedule
-
Website Schedule will be updated as soon
as all results are submitted
-
You should know your next game by Saturday or Sunday the
latest, barring rainouts and other events
-
Games will be played on the 60' & 90' Turf Fields at Allen
Park. Start times and assignments are as follows:
-
The 90' Turf field is considered the
"Premier" field and highest seeded team will
be given
priority for this field throughout the tournament
-
Game times will be 7:00pm and 8:45pm.
-
For Rounds 1 through 4.
-
Games are scheduled by exhausting
all matchups from the winners' bracket and then
moving on to the losers' bracket, slotting highest
to lowest seeded team into the schedule as follows:
7pm/90', 8:45pm/90', 7pm/60', 8:45pm 60'
-
Rounds 5 and 6 will play on the 90'
Turf field
-
IF circumstances
have forced multiple rounds to occur on the same night,
previous round field and time assignments can take precedence
over current round assignments (Clarified 9/2012)
-
Field Assignments and times are
SUBJECT TO CHANGE by the OTHG
Board
-
A Round might contain just Winners' bracket
games, Losers' bracket games or both
-
Each Winners' Bracket Game pairs remaining
highest versus remaining lowest seeded teams
currently in the Winners' bracket
-
Each Losers' Bracket Game pairs remaining
highest versus remaining lowest seeded teams
currently in the LOSERs' bracket
-
Exception is the finals where Winners' Bracket
Team faces LOSERs' Bracket Team
-
Rain Outs/Weather could force
make up play on various nights
of the week, not just Tuesdays or Fridays
-
You may need to
PLAY multiple games in a week
or even a night due to weather
-
Dates, times and fields are
subject to change due to
weather and field availability
-
New for 2019:
All Rounds will have 9 inning games played until completion
with a winner and loser, no TIEs.
BUT...
-
OTHG Board can reestablish Time Limit
Rule in any/all Games if situation, scheduling, weather, permits,
etc require this action
-
New for 2019:
Regular season forfeit rule where you can borrow a player
from the other team is SUSPENDED for the playoffs. Each team
must field their own 9 players at a minimum
-
Games that are postponed
for any reason that have not reached official game length
shall be rescheduled and replayed in their entirety
-
Run Rule
is in effect for all games
-
Winning team of Winners' Bracket round 4
will skip Round 5 and have
one week off until the Reilly Cup Finals/round 6 (clarified
9/2012)
-
Round 5
is comprised of 2 games played consecutively, usually on the
same evening (clarified 9/2014)
-
The first game is comprised of the two winning
teams that advanced from the Round
4 Loser's Bracket
-
The team that wins the above game will play
a second game against the team that lost from the
Round 4 Winner's Bracket.
The winner of this game will go to the Reilly Cup
Finals/round 6.
-
Winners' Bracket sees a new team each game.
Exception may be finals round
-
Losers' Bracket could
play same team twice during Rounds 1 through 5 and
will definitely want to play twice in Round 6... The Reilly
Cup Finals
