New for 2023: Protests are allowed for all games. |
24.. |
Trial Rule for 2023: Teams have the option of matching the number of players in lineup/playing as opposing team is using. Please look at example below; |
a. |
If team A has 11 players at game and Team B has 15 players than Team B has the following options: |
i. |
Do nothing and bat all 15 players making sure everyone except EH plays at least 4 innings in the field |
ii. |
Use 11 players only and either bench 4 players for entire game or substitute 4 players during game. If going to substitute use the following guidelines: |
- |
Substitute Player coming into game takes place in batting order of player they are replacing. |
- |
Substitute Players who are not in starting line-up have to play 4 innings in the field. Substitutions should be made in 5th inning to ensure both players play required 4 innings in the field |
- |
A player who is removed from the game can’t re-enter the game. |
- |
Manager must communicate to other manager when substitutions are made |
iii. |
Manager must communicate to other manager who are the players that will not be playing at all |
b. |
We will be providing managers with line-up cards that are to be shared/exchanged with other team prior to start of game |
i. |
Managers must keep scorecard for both teams, if in the event of a protest and protesting team did not keep scorecard than protest will be denied |
c. |
The player in EH position can not be substituted for, they remain in the line-up the entire game. Only way EH gets into the field is if team only has 11 players and 1 gets hurt. If EH goes into field, injured player is removed from line-up/game |
