The board discussed the following topics:

Meeting called to order by Jim Reilly at 7:35PM

Jim Reilly presented a historical
perspective of some of the items the board
was considering 20 years ago
-
Jim Reilly and the board discussed several
rule changes/clarifications brought up by
various league members and to be discussed
with managers:
- No hitting up the middle
- Mercy rule from 18 runs to 15 runs
- clarifying written rules to
highlight that touching home plate is
legal as long as not interfering with
fielder at the plate
- clarifying written rules that runner
can run to either side of home plate to
avoid interference with fielder at the
plate
- different methods of trading players
during draft time
- removal of runner's obligation to
touch orange bag at first and run
through to the side to avoid collision

Draft registration dates to be held Jan 22,
27 and 29th at Allen Park from 7:30pm to
9:00pm. Web site to publicize and
invite people to join the league.

Manager's kickoff meeting on Feb 5th to
discuss general issues and draft

Manager's team registration meeting for
dues, rosters and final draft needs on Feb
19th
-
League draft night on Feb 26th
-
Awards/Pizza night to be held Mar 5th at
Knights of Columbus
-
Season starts on Apr 16 (Fri) and will end
on Aug 13th (16 games). Three rain dates for
the league will be Aug 6, 20 and 27th. The
tournament will start after Labor Day with
tentative schedule forthcoming

Charity game will be held Aug 13th.

Congratulations to the Cullen Family.
Ed's daughter will be married on Aug 6th.
The Changing Times team will be unavailable
on Fri, Aug 6th. If there is a rain
out game to be made up on Aug 6th, the
Changing Times versus opponent XXX game will
be rescheduled for either Wed, Aug 4th or
Wed, Aug 11th
