OTHG is celebrating 40 Years! |
After
three weeks of Over the Hill Gang play, Legends on Broadway and Bar-Boy
have emerged as the only undefeated teams. Bar-Boy beat a previously
unbeaten team topping Moby Drugs 19-16 in a tight game.
Bar-Boy started off with 7 runs in the 1st inning but Moby
chipped away and was ahead by a run in the 7th inning.
Bar-Boy plowed ahead with two 3 run innings in the 7th and
8th and won. In the late innings, Darrin Simons made several
good defensive plays at 3rd base to contain Moby. Darrin
also went 2 for 2 with 2 RBIs. Joe Scotti went 4 for
4 with 4 RBIs including a 3 run HR, John Czarnecki went 2 for
3 with 4 RBIs including a 3 run HR, Frank Badalamenti went 3

Legends
on Broadway extended their winning streak with a 17-2 win over previously
unbeaten Bethpage Pharmacy. For Legends, this was a solid outing in
both the field and at the plate up and down the lineup. Lenny Balestrieri,
Jack Kisilinsky and Gary Innes all contributed with three RBIs each.
Zwanger-Pesiri
Radiology battled back from a 13-3 deficit to tie Changing Times Pub,
16-16. ZP’s defense came together in the late innings to help quiet
some potent CT bats. Bino Reverberi continues to show younger players
he has one of the best outfield arms in the league even after 10 plus
years on the team. Bino nailed two runners in the same inning Friday
night to end a CT rally. John Hernandez at shortstop and Tommy Dittmeier
in left center also had outstanding defensive games. At the plate, everyone
contributed. Marty Dunn and Marc Fisher both slammed very impressive
long balls. John Hernandez had 4 hits. Bino, Marty, Marc and Jerry Mazza
all had three hits on the night. Tommy and John DeFalco had two hits
while Anthony Nicolich had two key RBIs.
