8:20pm - Paradox vs Singletons - 90ft field
In
the usual slugfest of a game, Singletons broke out to an early 6-5
lead over Paradox. But in the second inning, Wally Seyfert banged
the first of his 3 hit, 3 run, 3 RBI night as Paradox took a 9-6
lead. Steady hitting pressure by Paradox through the next 5
innings, including Bill Gonzales (3 hits/3 RBIs), Don Carlin (5
hits/4 RBIs) and Lenny Balestrieri (4 hits, 5 RBI), kept the
pressure on Singletons. Some great outfield plays in the fifth
inning by Vinny Vega and Carlin helped stop a Singleton's rally and
Paradox went on to win 31-16.
