Bar-Boy
beat Lockie & Nowachek Family Chiropractors 16-7. BB was ahead 11 to
3 by the 4th inning and held on to win in the 8th inning. Jason Cinnelli
went 3/5 with 2 HRs & 3 RBIs, Steve Kirk went 4 for 5 with 1 HR
and 3 RBIs, Ken Kuzma went 3 for 4 with a walk & 3 RBIs, John Czarnecki
went 3 for 5 with 2 RBIs & safe on E5, Joe Scotti went 2 for 5 with
1 HR & 2RBIs, Mike Frain went 2 for 4 with 1 walk & Steve Rose went
2 for 3, 1RBI & a walk. L & N only had 9 players but kept BB on their
toes.
At the
outset, Paradox opened a 6-2 lead with help from Joe Cordi (3 hits/RBI)
and Mickey Newbeck (2 RBIs, 2 runs scored). LaCorte then put them in
a hole as they amassed 10 runs to take a lead. The 8th inning
had Paradox dig out and take the lead 12-10 with 5 runs thanks to Lyle
Nigro's (3 Hits, 1 Run) go ahead single for 2 RBIs. LaCorte kept
the pressure on as they scored 3 in the top of the 9th to make it 13-12
in their favor. In the bottom of the ninth, Don Carlin tripled
to score John Compitello and tie the score. Two automatic walks
then loaded the bases for Jack Kisilinsky, who singled in the winning
run. Paradox won an exciting game beating LaCorte Family Auto 14-13.
Changing
Times got their 6th win of the season with a wire to wire victory against
the American League's first place team, Singletons. From the 1st inning
CT came out of the gate quickly with six consecutive singles and scored
4 runs lead by Mike Corda (5-5) 2 RBIs. The 2nd was more of the same
with 5 more runs after a cluster of singles starting with Dave Thorburn
(3-5), Chris Leelum (4-5) and ending with back to back doubles by Dan
Davies (4-5, 7 RBIs) and Darrin Azar (5-5, 5 RBIs). But Singletons is
a solid, never give up team and things became quite serious when Singletons
scored 6 runs in the 7th and 4 more in the 8th. But with solid defense
from CT's shortstop Rob Bischof, 3rd baseman Joe Stephan and our "No
Drop Zone" outfielder Neil Strocchia, CT was able to get the task done
and grab the victory 22-15.
