Changing Times goes 2 and 0 this week with a hard fought nail biting battle. In the top of the first CT drew first blood by scoring 2 led by Neil Strocchia (3-4) 1RBI & Larry Ortolani (3-4) 1 RBI. But BK wouldn't give up and made their way back and take the lead. Back and fourth it went, 1 run here, 1 run there. Both team found themselves all tied up at the top of the ninth. But the game deciding blow came during the top of the ninth from Mike Corda with a 3 run blast (2-4) 3RBI's. Thanks to sharp pitching from Darrin Azar, a great diving catch from Dave Thorburn & smooth double plays made by Larry Ortolani. CT wouldn't have found themselves in the winners circle without these great plays.
Bar-Boy won this evening against Zwanger Pesiri 20-16. Bar-Boy started off 11 to 4 after 2 innings. Zwanger came on strong and tied BB in the 7th inning at 15 runs each. In the last inning, Zwanger went 1 run ahead at the top of the inning. However, BB batted with the top of the order in the bottom of the 8th and scored big with 5 runs as time for the game ran out. Frank Badalmenti went 4 for 4 and a Grand Slam; Jason Cinnelli went 3 for 5, HR + 6 RBIs, Darren Simons went 4 for 5 + 2RBIs, John Czarnecki went 4 for 5, Ken Kuzma lead off with 4 for 4 + safe on E-5 and last but not least Steve Kirk went 3 for 5 + 1RBI. For ZP, Sean O’Flynn, Tyrone Clark and Marty Dunn supplied the long ball to keep ZP in the game.
