Wins
have not come easy for Zwanger-Pesiri Radiology this season, but the
team picked up a huge confidence building victory Thursday by beating
Singleton’s 14-8. ZP combined fantastic defense and timely hitting
to stay ahead of a very tough team. The right side of the infield
was flawless. 1st baseman Kevin McGinnis and 2nd baseman Marty Dunn
both ranged far to their right numerous times to take hits away.
Tyrone Clark at 3rd and John Hernandez at short also flashed leather
all night long. In addition, the outfield was solid with Bino Reverberi getting yet another assist
and Tommy Dittmeier flagging down fly after fly. At the plate, Dunn
was also a star. His 3-run homer gave ZP the lead and set the tone for
more runs to come. For the night, Dittmeier was 4-4, Steve Lenci, Jerry
Mazza, Anthony Nicolich and Dunn all had 3 hits. Winning pitcher John
DeFalco helped his cause with 2 hits while Hernandez and Tyrone Clark
also banged out a pair of hits.
