One: A swing and its on its way...

Two: I got it, I got it...

Three: No, I got it, I got it

Four: I guess Jerry had it all the time!

7:00pm - Changing Times versus Barco Construction - 90ft field

In Barco’s 24-10 win over CT on May 13th, Barco was led by Russ Graham with 8 RBIs (including a Grand Slam), Bob Bergsten with 5 RBIs and a 3 run HR, Terry McPartland (5-5), Gary Jambor (4-4) and Kevin Moloney (3 hits 3 RBIs). The win finally put Barco in the win column after opening up with three loses.

8:20pm - Autocraft versus Lockie & Nowachek - 60ft field

The clash between Autocraft and Lockie & Nowachek Family Chiropractors, both courting 1-2 records, was one of those old time barn burners with Autocraft coming out on top 17-15. There were some great moments for Autocraft which overcame the bad. The topper was a home run blast by Donnie Simone that cleared the fence behind the trees in left center, something rarely seen. Mike Ferreti kept L&N honest by pitching a strong game giving little or nothing away. Veteran Dave Rubino looked like his early days having a multi-hit night including one off the pole in deep left center. Aldo Balducci, Joe "Mr. Steady" Lutz, Dennis "Ace" Oehl, and Brian Landy all had big nights at the plate, as did Big Mike Mormino. Frankie "Quatro cinco seis" promised his teammates a hit next game.

9:40pm - Moby Drugs versus Paradox Cafe - 60ft field

On Friday the 13th, Moby Drugs beat Paradox Café, 22-16. Both teams had about an hour and a half of nothing but good, clean fun. Just collectively watching home runs being dumped over a fence was not to be on the "Big Field". So the complete game had to be played between the lines and played it was.

As it should be, individual stats were meaningless for Moby (now 3-1) especially when everybody made a contribution and constantly picked each other up. It really made for a great game win or lose. But if one person deserves the proverbial nod it is Don Meritz for pitching one of the best games against the fierce Paradox line up (also now 3-1). Donny also fielded 3 or 4 put outs (a personal best).
