Changing Times veteran Ed Cullen is the Over the Hill Gang's Player of the Week. Ed filled in at shortstop and turned in a spectacular game. He made several great stops and helped turn two double plays when the game was tight. At the plate, Ed delivered key hits to help lift CT to a big win.. Congratulations Ed!
Eleventh seed Changing Times Pub upset sixth seed Lockie & Nowachek Family Chiropractors 19-15. CT jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the 1st when rookie Mike Corda blasted a 2 run bomb over the left field fence. L&N answered with 2 runs in bottom of the 1st. With some good timely hitting and Ed Cullen's solid fielding, CT found themselves up 15-7 after 7 innings. L&N cut that lead in half in the 8th. Rookie Rich Apollo belted a grand slam and then L&N added 2 more runs to close the lead to 15-13. However, in the 9th, CT added 4 more runs started by lead off hitter Dave Thorburn. L&N scored 2 more in bottom of the 9th but fell short.

ZP took the lead in the 2nd inning when rookie Sean O'Flynn smashed a 2-run homer over the right center field fence. ZP held the lead for most of the game as pitcher Brian Tinney did a nice job keeping M&T's bats in check. Tinney helped his own cause snaring a couple of liners on the mound. Outfielders Tommy Dittmeier and Vinny Foppiano flashed some leather with nice sliding catches. Foppiano also belted a fence clearing 2-run homer as ZP built a lead. But M&T did not go down without a fight, taking a 2 run lead heading into the bottom of the ninth. ZP answered when the game was on the line. John Hernandez, Foppiano and Dittmeier all singled which set the stage for Sean O'Flynn who delivered the game winning hit. For the night, Hernandez, Foppiano and O'Flynn had 3 hits each. Marc Fischer (booming triple) , Dittmeier, Bino Reverberi, Rich D'Amico(with his new glasses!), John DeFalco (3 rbi), Anthony Nicolich and Art O'Neill all had two hits each for manager Tom "T" Ball.
