Sorry, there was no player of the week for Round 2 Playoffs
After a 3 week layoff, Barco Construction finally got to play softball defeating Changing Times Pub 19-15 in their first round playoff game. CT came out right away scoring 1 run in the top of the first. Barco answered with 2 runs in the bottom of the first. CT scored 1 run in the top of the 2nd to take a 2-1 lead. Barco scored 4 in the bottom of the 3rd, 2 in the 4th, and 4 more in the 5th to take a 12-2 lead. It looked like it was going to be an easy win for Baro. CT scored 1 more in the top of the 6th and 4 more in the top of the 7th to make it 12-7. Barco scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 7th to make it 17-7. CT scored 2 more in the top of the 8th and Barco 1 more in the bottom to make it 18-9. CT started with top of the 9th with an out and it looked to be clear sailing for Barco. CT would not go down without a fight and scored 6 in the inning before Barco closed the game on Dave Saur's running, sliding catch to end the game allowing Barco to exhale. The CT outfielders had a very good game making several running catches to end Barco rallies, keeping the game from getting away. Barco's offensive leaders were Gary Jambor (3-4), Steve Jacobson (3-4 with 2 RBIs), Bill White (3-4) and Tim Dorman who was 4-4 with 8 RBIs, including a grand slam.
