Rhonda Fischer, Jim Reilly, Al Palleschi and Tony Macagnone
Farmingdale’s
Over the Hill Gang softball league recently held its annual awards ceremony.
The highlight of the evening was a special presentation to retiring
league treasurer Al Palleschi . For more than 35 years, “Big Al” made
countless contributions to the league and it simply would not be the
success it is without his dedication and hard work. League President
Jim Reilly and all the players send their best wishes and gratitude
to the Hall of Famer for his tireless efforts. Town of Oyster Bay Councilman
Tony Macagnone presented Al with a proclamation from Supervisor John
Venditto. Nassau County Legislator Michael Venditto also stopped by
as did Legislator Joe Belesi. Special thanks goes to District Court
Judge Rhonda Erin Fischer who helped hand out the league awards. Singleton’s
Manager Bob Davis accepted the Reilly Cup for winning the league’s postseason
tournament. Trophies were also awarded to league champions BK Sweeney’s
and Barco Construction. The Over the Hill Gang begins its 38th season
on April 12 at Allen Park.
