7:00pm - Zwanger Pesiri vs Bethpage Pharmacy - 60ft field

Bethpage Pharmacy, in a real close nail biter, won their second in a row by edging out Zwanger Pesiri Radiology 10-9. Bethpage jumped out with 2 in the bottom half of the 1st on a sac fly by Kevin Maloney and an RBI hit by Terry McPartland, but Zwanger tied it up in the 3rd. In the bottom half of the inning Bethpage scored three runs on hits by Russ Graham, Kevin Maloney and a sac fly By Dennis Ryan. But Zwanger responded again by scoring 5 taking a 7-5 lead after 7 1/2.  Bethpage retaliated by scoring 5 in the bottom of the inning, all with two out. The keys hits came from Bob Bergstein and Russ again. Fortunately for Bethpage, Zwanger could only muster 2 more in the 8th and were shut down completely in the 9th giving Bethpage their 10-9 final.

9:40pm - LaCorte Family Auto versus Lockie & Nowachek - 60ft field

LaCorte's Family Auto Repair and Lockie & Nowachek Family Chiropractors played a very exciting game Friday night! L&N jumped to a 12-0 lead. But LaCorte mounted a big comeback in the 6th, scoring 7 runs and then scored 7 more runs in the 7th to take a 14-12 lead. L&N scored another run to make it 14-13. LaCorte held that lead going into the 9th inning. LaCorte then scored 4 more runs in the top of the 9th to increase their lead 18-13.. But L&N was not to be outdone and scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 9th to tie the score, which is how the game ended 18-18! Hitting stars for L&N were Chris Theoharides and Tom Desantis who both went 4 for 5, Pete Hajko who went 3 for 5 with a home run and Rich Apollo who went 2 for 2 with 3 intentional walks. LaCorte remains undefeated at 1-0-2 and L&N goes to 2-1-1.
