Changing Times outfielder Neil Stroccia is the latest Over the Hill Gang Player of the Week. Neil had a fantastic game in the field and at bat to lead Changing Times Pub to a 21 -14 win over Moby Drugs. Neil had a pair of key hits when the game was on the line. In right-center, he made several clutch grabs to choke Moby rallies.
Lockie & Nowachek Family Chiropractors and Zwanger Pesiri Radiology played in an exciting "slugfest" Friday night. L&N seemed in control of the game with a 22 to 8 lead going into the last of the 9th inning when Zwanger exploded for 12 runs before L&N was able to close out the game for a 22-20 win!
L&N was led by Pete Hajko who went 4/6 with 2 big home runs, Butch Flecker who went 4/4 with 2 sacrifice flies, Tim Jones who went 4/5 and Bill Camacho who went 3/4 with a walk. Camacho, the team captain, was making his season debut coming off the IR due to fractured ribs. Pete Cestare went the distance to pick up the win. L&N improved their record to 4-1-1.
Moby Drugs came out hitting in the first inning and took a 5-0 lead into the 2nd. However, CT bats woke up in the bottom of the 2nd to take a 9-5 lead. With some timely hitting from all parts of the lineup and stellar defense, CT built a 17-7 lead into the 5th inning and never looked back. Chris Leelum had some key 2 out hits with men on base to keep the rally going along with Jimmy Cullen who had a couple of big hits late in the game.
