Granny O'Shea's hoped for rain
but all they got was a sprinkler delay

8:20pm - Mer's Pub versus Synergy - 60ft field

In Synergy's loss to Mers, the big night at the plate was Brian Landi with two booming home runs over the right field fence. Also having multiple hit nights were Joe "Mr. Steady" Lutz, Davey Rubino, Denny "Ace" Oehl (who continues to hit well despite injuries), Aldo Balducci, and pitcher Richie Dargie. Synergy is hoping that just once they could have the whole team there before the season ends.

8:20pm - Changing Times versus McCourt & Trudden - 90ft field

Changing Times Pub won its first game of the season with an impressive 22-17 victory over McCourt & Trudden. Steve Johnsen led the offense with two home runs including a 9th inning grand slam. Anthony Porpora also blasted two homers including a 2-run shot in the 9th inning to seal the win. Charley Ginley belted yet another 2 run homer in the final inning. John Falbo, Danny Haas, Big Brad, Rob Bischoff and Jerry Ivarone provided clutch hitting. Solid defense came from Jack S. and Ronnie Fox as C.T. picked up the win

9:40pm - Granny O'Shea's versus Moby Drugs - 60ft field

Moby bats were on fire in a 22-6 win over Granny O'Shea's. Moby had 24 hits on the night including 20 singles, scoring in every inning but one. Vinny Misuraca and John Gaffney were solid at the plate, while defensively the team was tough as well, holding a hard hitting Granny O'Shea's club to only 6 runs.

9:40pm - Barco versus J Two Lounge - 90ft field

Barco was able to finally put and end to their 5 game losing streak with a gratifying 17-12 win over J-2. Barco jumped out to a commanding 13 run lead after their first two at-bats before J-2 was able to get on the scoreboard. Steve Schwind led the way with a bases clearing double in the 1st for 3 of his 4 RBIs. James Widmer continued his good offensive year with a clutch 2-out RBI single and also added a fine running catch in the left center alley. Also adding to Barco’s offense were Steve Jacobson (3-3, 2 BB), Gary Jambor (HR, 3 RBIs), Bill White (3-4, 2 RBIs), Anthony Ranieri and Rick Pedone (both 3-4). The win gives Barco a 3-7 record.
