7:00pm - Moby Drugs versus Changing Times - 90ft field

Only 19 players combined showed for the Moby/Changing Times game and those who weren’t there missed a good game.  Moby won  28-15. Henry Hasemann started off in the first inning with a home run to tie it at 2. The second was a strong hitting inning for both teams. Moby was able to produce 5 more runs but Changing Times came right back with 4 runs making the score 7 to 6 Moby. The game continued like that until the top of the 8th when Moby just took off with an inning full of hits, 13 in total, 3 homeruns, by Vinny Misuraca, John Cafarella, and Scott Entwistle, and two triples. What a shot by both John Caracciolo and Joe Carbo. Moby was once again very strong at the plate with 30 hits including 4 homeruns and 2 triples.

8:20pm – Singletons versus Zwanger Pesiri - 60ft field

Friday's middle game between Singleton's and Zwanger Persiri started out tight as usual between both of theses teams and after the 4th inning the score was knotted at 4 apiece. That all changed rapidly in the 5th with Big Red unloading for 9 runs and Zwanger answering back with 4 of their own for a 13-8 lead in favor of Red. Over the next 4 innings Singleton's scored 6 more runs while the solid pitching of Frank Gordon held the Zwanger team in check for the rest of the way. The final score was Singleton's 19-8 over Zwanger. Hot bats for Red were Gary Sacarro having another 5-5 night, Alan Rapfogel going 4-5, also Larry Greishaber 3-5 w/ 4 RBIs, Dennis Passeratti 3-4 and Don Gaghon also 3-4. While pitching a superb game Frank Gordon also managed to reach base 4 times helping to secure the win.

Singleton’s beat Zwanger Pesiri 19-8. For ZP, it was another night of just not having enough offense and defense. George Eicher led the offense, belting a fence clearing homer among his three hits. T Ball also had three hits. Joe Manning just missed a homer with a blast that hit the top of the fence. That was one of his two hits on the night. Bino Reverberi, Jerry Mazza, Rich D’ Amico and Pete Mendelson all had two hits each.

8:20pm - Synergy versus Bar Boy - 90ft field

Synergy struggled defensively in the first inning, allowing 9 runs, then tightened it up for the rest of the way, but fell to Bar Boy 14-9. Richie Dargie did everything he could on the mound to keep his team in it, but Synergy wasn't able to mount any big innings at the plate. Rookie Brian Landi went 4 for 4. Benny Macchia, Aldo Balducci, and Joe "Mr. Steady" Lutz each had three hits. Al Devine, Bob Ceriello, and Davey Rubino also had two hits. Bruce Coonan tripled while Aldo hit Synergy's only home run of the night.

9:40pm - Granny O'Shea's versus McCourt & Trudden - 60ft field

Granny O'Shea's came visiting McCourt & Trudden on the 60ft field for the night cap. The "Men in Black" opened the game with 9 runs in the first two innings. The top of the order came through as Bob Kirk, Mitch Maghakian and Jay Donovan delivered RBI singles to break the ice. Don Carlin also delivered a 3 run home run as O'Shea's bounded to a 9-2 lead. The fifth inning saw Granny's push across 8 more as Brian Mulcahy hit a 2 run shot that helped open up the game. Walter "The Haze" Hasemann also came through with a sterling catch in left field as he ran down a bomb to help snuff out a rally. O'Shea's added plenty of insurance in the 8th as Mike Hadnagy blasted a triple for two runs and Lenny Balestrieri knocked one deep into the night down the left field line to help close out a 26 to 13 victory.

9:40pm - Hampton Air versus J Two Lounge - 90ft field

Tom DeSantis started things off with a bang for Hampton Air, belting a homer on the very first pitch of the game. He followed that with flawless play in left field to help lift Hampton to a 26-12 win over J-2 Lounge. Jerry Sutherland was huge, turning three double plays and adding a three run homer. Other homers hit by the swat team came off the bats of "Butch" Flecker, Mike Quigly, and oh yes Big George Mauro. The almost errorless fielding behind the pitching of Tom Giorelle was paramount in the victory. Hampton Air sends a shout to "IRONMAN" Bill Camacho for his heart and dedication while playing in pain.
